Bridgeway
Consulting was established in 2004 as a consequence of a number of
business owners in the Columbia area addressing marital and
parenting concerns in counseling with Rick Parks, MSW. Realizing
that the communication and conflict resolutions skills they were
applying in their families had clear implications for the health of
their teams at work, they asked Rick to work with their businesses
to help with leadership and team development. Focusing largely on
the core competencies of EQ (Emotional Intelligence) Rick has worked
with numerous business owners and managers in the midlands and the
upstate to help them improve their managerial skills, as well as the
health of their teams in the workplace. Rick now devotes much of his
time to helping companies develop strong and capable leaders at all
levels, and improve the effectiveness of their teams through
behavioral profiles, communication and conflict resolution training,
and stress management skills.
Rick Parks, MSW, is a graduate of the University of South Carolina.
He has spent the past three decades in developing organizations and
teams. His passions include: helping individuals move into careers
that are a good fit for their aptitudes, personality type and
skills; developing strong leaders in the marketplace–leaders with a
resolve to be ethical, emotionally intelligent and highly skilled in
their respective roles within their organizations; and helping teams
develop the relational skills and habits that make them efficient,
enjoyable and effective. |
